….back in the day when outfield advertising could have been Knickerbocker, Ballantine, Rheingold or even Budweiser Beer, Marlboro cigarettes and the clock was a Longines…take a look at some of the great old ballparks gone…but…not forgotten.
Gone…but…not forgotten Part 2 is in the works it will include old Yankee Stadium, Shea Stadium, Memorial Stadium in Baltimore, RFK in DC, Tiger (Briggs Stadium) in Detroit, Metropolitian Stadium in Minneapolis, the old Cominsky Park in Chicago, Candlestick Park in San Francisco, the Astrodome in Houston, and possibly the old Huntington Avenue Fairgrounds where the Red Sox played. Sorry, no 3 Rivers, Riverfront, Veterans, Kingdome, or the Metrodome, they were not ballparks but multi function arenas.
